The time is right to join HNTB! We are seeking an GIS analyst I to join our Atlanta, GA office.
Job Summary
Entry level position preparing GIS data support, including analysis support, data conversion/migration and map productions.
Essential Responsibility

Encompasses map production, geographic analysis, database development, system design, and project implementation.

Assists in the development of GIS projects using ArcGIS software or other designated GIS software to enhance existing and future GIS projects.

Creates geographic maps by means of available datasets.

Develops geographic databases, including designs and models.

Performs research into emerging GIS technologies.

Performs field data collection using prescribed technology, methodology and specifications.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Additional Responsibilities
– Performs data collection.

– Performs data migration from multiple sources.
– Develops new GIS datasets.
– Identify, acquire and manager GIS data from disparate sources.
– Document details of map updates, additions and deletions.

Basic Qualification
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Geography, Planning or other related field of study
2 years related experience using ESRI, Intergraph, or Bentley software products

Preferred Qualification/Skills
– Familiarity with geoprocessing techniques and work-flows.
– Strong organizational skills.
– Familiarity with alternative GIS software (QGIS, MapInfo, Etc.)

General Work Conditions
Office Environment: Work is generally performed in an office environment in which there is only minimal exposure to potentially unpleasant working conditions. Incumbent must have the ability to stand and sit frequently, and reach horizontally as well as vertically for overhead use.
