Title: GISCorps: Volunteer GIS for Communities in Need
Presentation: Established in 2003, GISCorps provides short-term volunteer GIS services to non-profit organizations and communities in need around the world. Operating as a program of the Geospatial Professional Network (GPN, formerly URISA), GISCorps has deployed over 3,000 volunteers and launched over 400 projects. Come learn about GISCorps and how you can get involved.

Wincy Poon, GISP
Wincy joined GISCorps as a volunteer in 2016 and has served as a Core Committee Member since 2018. She is also active within the GGA community. Outside of volunteer work, Wincy is the GIS Manager at the Coastal Regional Commission of Georgia, providing GIS assistance to coastal counties and cities.
Erin Arkison
Based in Houston, TX, Erin Arkison is passionate about search and rescue, working dogs, and community service. Professionally, she works in the land department for an oil and gas company. Outside of her day job, she is a full-time dog mom, actively involved in search and rescue as both a K9 handler and Search Manager. She also serves with Texas Task Force 1 as a Technical Information Specialist (TIS) and supports GISCorps by helping manage Disaster Response projects.
