GIS Learning Opportunities (Middle Georgia URISA Subchapter)

GIS Learning Opportunities!

Are you looking to migrate from ArcGIS Desktop to ArcGIS Pro? The change is inevitable. ArcGIS Desktop will be entering mature support by the early 2020s and will be retired within the next decade. Functionality is being added to ArcGIS Pro at a rapid pace, so now would be a great time to jump in and begin learning all you need to transition from sleepy, old 32-bit ArcMap to lightning-quick 64-bit ArcGIS Pro. eGIS Associates can help you get started with their course on ‘Migrating to ArcGIS Pro’! This two-day course begins on June 19th and runs from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm both days. To register click here.

For those of you that have already made the leap into ArcGIS Pro and are looking to spread your wings a bit, we also have the ‘Introduction to Programming in ArcGIS Pro’. Starting with absolutely no programming knowledge, this course will lead you to create your own geoprocessing tools using Python. Automate the boring stuff with Python! This course, (also two days) begins on September 4th and runs from 9:00 am – 5:00 pm both days. To register click here.

Both courses will be held at the Middle Georgia Regional Commission Training Lab located at 175 Emery Highway, Suite C in Macon, Georgia. There are only 11 seats available for each class, so act fast if you are interested. As a special offer, eGIS Associates are offering a 10% discount to Georgia URISA members at checkout using the code ‘GAURISA’.

We hope to see you there! Stay tuned for more educational announcement by Middle Georgia URISA.
